Dr. Lillian H. Spearman, Pastor
Born and reared in Roseboro, North Carolina, Dr. Spearman graduated from Charles E. Perry High School in 1963. She earned her Bachelor and Master's Degree in education from Fayetteville State University. Having a thirst for knowledge, she subsequently earned a Master's and Doctoral Degree from Christian Life School of Theology.
Dr. Spearman is a former member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Roseboro, North Carolina, where the pastor is the Honorable Reverent John T. Oliver. In 1989, the Lord called Dr. Spearman into the ministry and she served faithfully and diligently under the leadership of three different pastors until she was called into the office of pastor in 2004.
Dr. Spearman is a woman of faith and believes in living a lifestyle that exalts and honors God. Her love for God's people and her burden for souls compel her to preach with passion and vigor. Her joy of the Lord resonates to all whose lives she touches. Yes! Her husband praises her in the gates and her children (natural and spiritual) rise up and call her "blessed".
Dr. Spearman is the author of "The Truth About Validation" as oppose to Man's Validation. She also has a radio ministry on WIDU 1600 which airs each Saturday at 3:00 PM. She also hosts a one hour radio round table discussion group with other pastors known as she affectionately calls it, "The Pastors of Purpose", which airs each Wednesday at 12:00 noon on WIDU 1600.
Dr. Spearman's love and compassion for people and the church prompted her to become a Chaplaincy Service Member. This is a Transitional Aftercare Network of persons that help transition incarcerated persons back into society upon their release. She also works with the Benefit Bank of North Carolina as well as the Aspire Program through C. Cap. of Cumberland County.
Dr. Spearman is married to the majestical Elder Ezra W. Spearman and in that union she is the mother of two children and the grandmother of five. Dr. Spearman gives God all of the glory for everything that has manifested in and through her life to be a blessing for His kingdom!
